Follow us

Throughout Handelsbanken Wealth & Asset Management, we endeavour to live up to high ethical and professional standards, and to run our operations prudently and sustainably. By always working in sync with society, we continue to represent a dependable asset to the communities we serve. To us, diversity and inclusion means that everyone must have the same rights, opportunities, and conditions to develop and contribute to Handelsbanken Wealth & Asset Management and their own career.

Diversity

As an equal opportunities employer, we believe our business should reflect the natural diversity of our communities. We are therefore focused on ensuring our approach to recruitment and career development helps us to achieve this goal. We aim to recruit, develop and retain employees with diverse backgrounds and perspectives while also reflecting the diversity of the communities we operate in, enhancing our ability to even better understand the market and adapt to a constantly changing society. We take pride in nurturing long-term relationships with our customers, employees, suppliers and local communities.

Gender equality

We strive to deliver the best experience for both customers and employees. We believe that this can be best achieved by having an inclusive, supportive and diverse company.

As equality is important to us, each year we analyse where any pay gaps are, put in place actions to reduce the gaps as part of our business plans, and maintain focus on this throughout the year at all levels of the business.

We see a diverse business led by a diverse leadership team as being the best way to maintain customer service and profitability.

Women in Finance Charter

By 2026, Handelsbanken aims to have 40% of our leaders to be female. As part of Handelsbanken UK we are proud to be a signatory to the Women in Finance Charter, underlining our ongoing commitment to equality throughout our business. The charter is a pledge for gender balance across the UK financial services industry, based on the recommendations of a review published in early 2017 by HM Treasury.

We have a strong belief in transparency, accountability and ethically sound practices, and have set out clear goals against which all employees will be assessed. This will be reflected in their annual performance reviews and compensation.

PIMFA - Make it campaign

We are proud to support the PIMFA make it campaign in its call for action to engage new talent from a range of backgrounds. Encouraging young talent to come in and shape old traditions into something better, whilst ‘making it’ in their career by helping people through difficult financial moments in life and planning for their future.
