The Board of Handelsbanken Wealth & Asset Management Limited is responsible for the high level supervision of the current and future regulated activities of Handelsbanken Wealth Management and Handelsbanken Asset Management.

Within our governance structure, the day-to-day management of Handelsbanken Wealth & Asset Management is delegated to the Management Group, the members of which are:

Graham Turner

Chief Executive Officer

Graham joined in 2010 when he was approached by the Bank. Over the following years, Graham established his own branch, has run the credit function in RL (Regional Bank – Southern UK), has been an area manager and in 2019 became Regional Head in RC (Regional Bank – Central UK). In 2020, he was promoted to Chief Executive Officer at Handelsbanken Wealth & Asset Management.

  • 2002 – 2010: Senior Manager - Corporate Business at Allied Irish Bank, where he helped to increase their UK branch network and diversify business activities.
  • 1986 – 2002: Nat West. Graham undertook a variety of roles here including Corporate & Structured Finance, Risk & Credit Analysis.

Graham Bishop

Chief Investment Officer

Graham joined in 2017 as Head of Strategy and was promoted to Chief Investment Officer in May 2020. Graham is responsible for asset allocation and also manages the Balanced investment strategy.

  • 2014 - 2017: Global Macro Strategist at Citi, responsible for the bank’s global asset allocation views and global macro strategy trade ideas.
  • 2012 - 2014: Equity Strategist at Exane BNP Paribas.
  • 2008 - 2012: Equity Strategist at Royal Bank of Scotland.
  • 2004 - 2008: Economist and Multi Asset Strategist at Cazenove Capital Management.
  • Graham has a degree in Economics from the University of Exeter and is a CFA Charterholder.

Alex Spreckley

Head of Wealth Management

Alex joined in 2012 progressing through specialist technical, sales and client advisory roles into leadership as Area Manager for London & South West in 2017 and now Head of Wealth Management in 2020.

  • 2010 - 2012: Wealth Manager at Killik & Co.
  • 2004 - 2010: Wealth Manager at Alexander Forbes.
  • Alex has attained the gold standard status of Chartered Wealth Manager. He is also a Fellow by examination of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (FCSI), a Fellow by examination of the Personal Finance Society (FPFS) and also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
  • Alex was named as one of the PAM Top 40 Under 40 in 2018. This initiative recognises, introduces and promotes the rising stars of the private client wealth management world in the UK and UK Crown Dependencies.

Pete McCree

Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer

Pete joined in 2001 as Head of Settlement and Custody and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2019. Pete is responsible for all actions and outcomes delivered by Business Support, Operations, IT Governance and Change Management in line with company strategy, risk management controls and our regulatory obligations. He is also Executive Director (SMF3) of the Handelsbanken Wealth & Asset Management Board, member of the management group and chair of the CASS Governance Committee.

  • 1998 - 2001: Operations Manager at Dresdner RCM Global Investors UK Ltd where he was responsible for the settlement and trade processing team supporting global asset management
  • 1987 - 1998: Assistant Manager at Kleinwort Benson Investment Management where he gained experience in global operations, custody support and settlements including equities, emerging markets and eurobonds supporting private and institutional clients
  • Pete also holds the Senior Management Function for client money and assets.

Dominic Fielding

Chief Risk Officer

Dominic joined in 2016 as Head of Compliance, and is now Chief Risk Officer. He has worked in Financial Services for over 20 years and has extensive investment and private client regulatory experience.

  • 2014 - 2016: Internal Audit Director (Customer, Conduct & Proposition) at Aviva (formerly Friends Life Group)
  • 2011 - 2014: Director of Regulatory Practice at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC)
  • 2007 - 2011: Supervisor at Financial Conduct Authority (formerly FSA)
  • 2000 - 2007: Manager at Financial Ombudsman Service
  • Dominic holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Law from the University of London.

Selina Gayle

Head of Compliance (subject to regulatory approval)

Selina joined in 2017 as Compliance Manager and Business Partner. She held the Deputy Head of Compliance role prior to her current role of Head of Compliance (subject to regulatory approval).  She is responsible for providing company-wide leadership on all areas of compliance.

  • 2010 - 2013: Fiduciary Technical Analyst, Citibank International plc

  • Selina holds a Bachelors Degree in Recreation Management from Loughborough University and the Investment Administration Qualification (IAQ) (now the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI)). She is a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management and an associate member of the CISI.

Lucy Jackson

Head of HR

Lucy joined in 2016 as an HR Business Partner and was promoted in 2017 to Head of HR.  She has over ten years of industry experience and has extensive knowledge of employment law, change management, recruitment strategy, SMCR and FCA remuneration code.

  • 2015 - 2016: HR Specialist (Finance, Scientific & Legal) at L’Oreal where she managed an efficient and professional HR service to the Active Cosmetics Division, Supply Chain, Corporate and Finance teams.
  • 2010 - 2015: HR Consultant (Capital Markets & Technology) at The Boston Consulting Group
  • 2009 - 2010: Financial Services Consultant at Selby Jennings
  • Lucy holds a BSc, an MA in Strategic HR Management and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development.

Kanene Nwodika

Head of Finance

Kanene joined in 2013 as a Financial Accountant, and is currently Head of Finance as of 2018. She is responsible for maintaining a strong financial framework for the business.

  • Kanene holds a Bachelors degree in Economics and Statistics from University of Benin, Nigeria, a Masters degree in International Economics, Banking & Finance from Cardiff Business School and is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

Matt Hollier

Head of Product

Matt joined in 2014. As Head of Investment Product, he is responsible for overseeing product development and management, marketing and aspects of our investment operations.
