Although we receive a wide variety of requests for charitable donations, we focus on local charities connected to the communities close to our offices.

We sponsor at least one major employee-related charity event per annum and several of our Directors hold senior positions within charitable entities.

Working with Envision

In Autumn 2018, we joined the Envision mentoring scheme, which partners local businesses together with schools to encourage young people to work on projects to raise money for charity. The programme joined us together with students at the Haberdashers’ Aske’s Crayford Academy on a project to raise money for the Ben Kinsella Trust, which strives to tackle knife crime in London.

Over three months, our mentoring group provided advice and guidance to the students regarding their presentation skills, teamwork and professional aspirations in life, as well as supporting their fundraising campaign. The mentoring programme culminated with the students and mentoring team organising a charity auction, raffle and bake sale at our London office to raise funds for the Ben Kinsella Trust, along with a presentation by the students to all staff about the work of the charity and their experiences on the Envision programme.

The students then went on to clinch first prize at Envision’s charity final, which commended the Haberdashers’ Aske's team for their outstanding presentation and team work, as well as for raising the most money for their charity.

Envision is an excellent scheme for young people and we are proud to have been involved as a mentor in 2018 and 2019. It was very rewarding to see how the students developed their confidence and their organisational and presentational skills during the programme.
