The Defensive Sustainable multi asset fund is our lowest-risk sustainable strategy. It is best suited to investors with a low appetite for risk and a keen interest in taking a sustainable approach to investing. Like all of our sustainable funds, Defensive Sustainable follows the same investment process as our ‘core’ funds, but with the added assessment of potential investments against our own sustainability process.
Although truly multi asset in its approach, the Defensive Sustainable fund contains a high proportion of traditionally ‘safer’ asset types (like bonds), with a much lower allocation to riskier asset types (like shares and ‘alternative’ assets).
The Sustainable Multi Asset Funds’ investments are chosen in accordance with the HWAM Sustainable Investment Policy. The Sustainable Investment Policy outlines HWAM’s definition of sustainable investing and details on what basis underlying investments are assessed and selected.
